Some history and problems...
I started this site very long ago, since 2003 but there were many obstacles with it. First of all, I couldn't find a good host. I am a student so most of my hosts were free-of-charge but came with it was the advertisements, limited bandwidths, limited space, and limited file types. Finally, I decided to get a paid host for a very cheap price ($20/year) with hostultra.com thus ending my first problem.
My second problem was deciding whether to have it as html or php. Through my years of making homepage, I have become very knowledgable with html and feel very comfortable with it. However, I am one of those person that need to change the website every once in a while (I can't stand having one layout for many months) and html became a burden. When I have a new layout, I have to make changes in every page of my site so it would match the newest layout and doing those were very time consuming. Fortunately, my problem was solved when I got a paid host and it supported php.
So IN CONCLUSION, I present you guys with this new improve and re-open site. Beware that this site will have many new layout in the future.
What is this site about?
I like movie stars, especially Chinese and collect pictures. Unlike others, I like to see pictures that feature a couple and their reason for being paired up. They are/were real life couple, act together in a drama, do the same advertisements, and/or record a duet with each other. I decide to create a website that decidate in collecting pictures of Asian (Chinese) couples and Couples Cottage is born.
What does this site offer?
Beside pictures, this site offer nothing at all. I don't want to turn this into a forum since there are so many already in the web. I cannot imagine myself writing review of a drama I have recently watch and share it with the world because I hate writing. A newsblog of Chinese entertainment and new upcoming dramas is out of the question. I am a two/three weeks might even one/two years late person to know what's going on in the entertainment industry. Aside from on-screen, real-life, and wedding couples pictures, I include a calendar, link, affiliate, and stars-photos section. I showcase couples wallpapers for your enjoyment. * Unless states, all the wallapers don't belong to me but the respective owner. Credits are given under each wallpapers unless I find them randomly at a forum and/or google. * My most prize is the music section. It features the newest Viet released series (mostly are TVB) and duet songs dated back to 1983.
